Our client, a reputable firm in the hospitality industry involved in event and décor organization, layout and creation seeks to recruit an Event Organizer and Administrator.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for the overall co-ordination of the day to day affairs of the company and should have a pleasant and outgoing personality.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Attending various meetings with clients on behalf of the company
  • Ensuring follow – ups with clients
  • Receiving payments on behalf of the company and banking the same when necessary
  • Supervising set up for functions, events, parties and weddings
  • Researching markets to identify opportunities for events
  • Liaising with clients to ascertain their precise event requirements
  • Preparing detailed proposals for events (e.g. timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing and budgets)
  • Ensuring insurance, legal, health and safety obligations are adhered to
  • Coordinating venue management, caterers, stand designers, contractors and equipment hire
  • Organizing facilities for car parking, traffic control, security, first aid, hospitality and the media
  • Planning room layouts and the entertainment programme, scheduling workshops and demonstrations
  • Coordinating suppliers, handling client queries and troubleshooting on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly
  • Overseeing the dismantling and removal of the event and clearing the venue efficiently

Professional Skills and Competencies
  • Diploma in Arts, Business Management or any other  related field
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Negotiation skills
  • Attention to details and have a creative mind
  •  A self starter with outstanding event organizing skills
  • Honest and able to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and networking skill
