Position: Service Manager

Location: Nairobi, Mombasa

Our client, a leading international business group specializing in distribution and retail of consumer electronics, home appliances, polymers and chemicals of leading international brands seeks to recruit a Service Manager.

The ideal candidate must have handled a similar role in Electronics and Home Appliances products.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
 
  • Maintaining accurate records of parts and service times, job costing and invoicing in the Service Department
  • Maintaining daily workshop timekeeping and labour productivity records to monitor the effective use of technician and productive labour
  • Ensuring premises, tools, equipment and other dealership assets are controlled and used effectively to complete customer repairs within time expectations
  • Supervising and controlling work load of Service Technicians
  • Scheduling service work according to priority and maintaining an orderly flow of work
  • Handling customer complaint problems pertaining to service and repair work
  • Ordering and maintaining adequate supplies and parts for service department inventory
  • Ensuring warranty claims are processed and forwarded to suppliers in time
  • Inspecting all completed work turned into the Service Department as is appropriate
  • Recommending new shop equipment which will cut costs in shop and speed up the process
  • Coordination of  all activities in the department to ensure that required standard of service is achieved and maintained according to the company policy

Skills and Qualification Required
  • Degree / Diploma in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or any other related field
  • Excellent Interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
  • A minimum of 8- 10 years experience
  • MUST have handled a similar position in the same industry
  • Proven team leadership skills
