Financial Modeling Analyst

Reporting to the Head of Investment Banking, this position is responsible for developing financial models (once a proposed deal structure is developed by the transaction bankers) consistent with proposed structures as well as evaluating those received from external parties. 

This will include financial statement modeling and analysis leading to performing extensive valuation and pricing analyses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Transaction Bankers to develop detailed financial cash flow models, operating models, forecasts, and marketing materials in support of corporate financing and sales processes.
  • Ensure that financial models developed reflect both the opportunities as well as constraints facing proposed project sponsors including all aspects that potential equity and debt funders would be looking at.
  • Interpret data on price, yield, stability, future investment-risk trends, economic influences, and other factors affecting investment banking deals.
  • Maintain, modify and or update all analytic models in use.
  • Present appropriate financial solutions to clients.
  • Evaluate proposed structures that are received from external parties.
  • Performing extensive valuation and pricing analyses.
  • Work closely with origination teams in pitch formulation and presentation to clients.

Position Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • 4-5 years’ experience in financial modeling preferably related to investment banking and or structured \corporate finance.
  • Must have command of financial modeling and analysis.
  • Experience handling capital market transactions.
  • Should demonstrate understanding of the fundamentals of investment banking and or structured\corporate finance.
  • Must have comfort with reading and interpreting financial statements.
  • Proven ability to work in or lead teams, projects and initiatives.
  • Demonstrated track record of integrity, effective communication, innovation and excellence.
  • Strong written, verbal and analytical skills.

Transaction Banker, Legal

Reporting to the Head of Investment Banking, this position is a key player in developing innovative deal structures that meet client objectives while ensuring that the overall deal structure meets all legal, financial and operational due diligence requirements.

The position coordinates teams of professionals that include statutory regulators, accountants, lawyers and public relation consultants.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide legal expertise, guidance and content to the Investment Banking operations
  • Play key leadership role and take primary responsibility in transaction and deal execution processes
  • Drafting of offering materials, management and client presentations
  • Work closely with origination teams in pitch formulation and presentation
  • Supervision of buyer due diligence processes
  • Execute operational and financial due diligence with management teams
  • Maintenance of virtual data rooms, coordination of external financial and legal advisors, and negotiation of closing documentation.
  • Maintaining client relations during the deal execution period and building industryspecific or product-specific expertise including researching market conditions and developments
  • Collaborate with analyst to ensure that there is consistency between these financial models and deal being structured

Position Qualifications / Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in law is required
  • A Master’s Degree in Law is an added advantage
  • Possess 5-8 years’ experience in investment banking and or structured \corporate finance
  • Experience handling commercial law related matters
  • Experience handling capital market law requirements
  • Sound technical understanding of the regulatory environment of investment banking
  • Sound understanding of structured finance and investment banking
  • Must have comfort with reading and interpreting financial statements
  • Proven ability to lead projects and initiatives that drive performance
  • Demonstrated ability to manage people in a way that inspires, develops, and delivers results
  • Demonstrated track record of integrity, effective communication, innovation and excellence
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Transaction Banker Capital Markets

Reporting to the Head of Investment Banking, this position is a key player in developing innovative deal structures that meet client objectives while ensuring that the overall deal structure meets all legal, financial and operational due diligence requirements.

This position is required to ensure that deal structures meet all valuation and pricing targets and that deals are consistent with capital market activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert knowledge on statutory and regulatory requirements, guidance and content to the Investment Banking operations.
  • Play key leadership role and take primary responsibility in transaction and deal execution processes
  • Collaborate with management teams to develop detailed financial cash flow models, operating models, forecasts, and marketing materials in support of corporate financing and sales processes
  • Develop and present appropriate financial solutions to clients; Performing extensive valuation and pricing analyses
  • Conduct thorough research on market conditions and developments
  • Maintaining client relations during the deal execution period and building industry specific or product-specific expertise
  • Origination: assessing a deal's desirability, which is sometimes an innovative idea from the institution rather than the client. Financial models are used to simulate possible
  • Work closely with origination teams in pitch formulation and presentation
  • Participating in drafting of offering materials and management presentations and all due diligence processes, maintenance of virtual data rooms and the negotiation of closing documentation.
  • Maintaining client relations during the deal execution period and building industry specific or product-specific expertise including researching market conditions and developments

Position Qualifications/Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a business related area AND an MSC or MBA in Finance
  • Possess 5-8 years’ experience in investment banking and or structured \corporate finance
  • Experience handling capital market transactions
  • Sound technical understanding of the regulatory environment of investment banking
  • Sound understanding of structured finance and investment banking
  • Must have comfort with reading and interpreting financial statements
  • Proven ability to lead projects and initiatives that drive performance
  • Demonstrated track record of integrity, effective communication, innovation and excellence
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
