You will be responsible for qualifying and developing value add propositions for the customer.

Responsible for selling the company's consulting or other professional services; primary responsibility may include finding and generating new customers.

Develops new accounts and/or expands existing accounts within an established geographic territory, industry, product segment, or channel.

Distinguished by additional specialized knowledge in breadth and/or depth, as well as record of success in sales.

These incumbents are viewed as an expert in the field and are assigned to large, complex, highly visible, strategic, or tactically important accounts.

May have a leadership role.

Job Requirements 
  • Develop strong internal relationships with the rest of the Oracle Account team. 
  • Able to network and develop strong business relationships with customers such that they turn to Oracle for their resource needs. 
  • Responsible for generating leads and submitting proposals to the client utilizing a broad knowledge of Oracle's service offerings. 
  • Primary job function is to generate consulting services, and nurture and close the transaction. 

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for selling the company's consulting with the focus on Oracle Technology and Applications portfolio.
  • You will be a key member in charge of developing our new consulting accounts and managing the relationships with them in order to maximize the consulting revenues and margin.
  • You will work closely with Consulting and Licences Management in order to identify, qualify and maximize the consulting opportunities for the entire Oracle portfolio within existing or new accounts.
  • Develops new accounts and/or expands existing accounts within an established geographic territory, industry, product segment, or channel.
  • Develop strong internal relationships with the rest of the Oracle Account team.
  • Able to network and develop strong business relationships with customers such that they turn to Oracle for their resource needs.
  • Responsible for generating leads and submitting proposals to the client utilizing a broad knowledge of Oracle's service offerings.
  • Produce regular and accurate forecasts as requested by the Senior Consulting Practice Director
  • Hand over responsibility to Delivery Management and monitor the delivery progress
Requirements:
  • Proven success in selling solutions in one or more of the following solution areas: SW (ERP and/or DB) and/or Consulting services
  • Broad network in the African  IT market
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience and knowledge in selling/delivering Services /Consulting solutions
  • Demonstrable experience selling to key influencers, stakeholders and “C” level executives.
  • Proven ability and track record to individually perform all aspects of a sales cycle from gaining initial interest to closure and post sales support.
  • Consistently achieved or exceeded sales quota objectives.
  • Demonstrated success of appropriately utilizing company resources to close business.
  • Working within a matrix environment and across other Oracle lines of business as part of an overall solution.

As a recognized authority and leading contributor within the practice, this senior-level consulting professional has broad understanding of solutions, industry best practices, multiple business processes or technology designs across multiple product/technology families.

Works directly with Consulting sales to analyze customer business needs.
       
Detailed Description       
  • Exercises judgment and business acumen in selecting methods and techniques to design non-routine and complex business solutions utilizing Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs.
  • Influences customer leadership in acceptance of Oracle solutions and services to facilitate the closing of consulting deals.
  • Contributes to statements of work, work breakdown structures and/or level of effort and staff plans. Presents and demonstrates solutions to customers.
  • Builds and maintains a network and up-to-date specific industry or product knowledge.
  • Responsible for transitioning deal knowledge to implementation team.
  • Leads the domain specific solution design aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality and integrated business solutions.

Job Requirements       
  • 8-10 years of relevant experience including 4 years of consulting experience.
  • Prior team lead or manager experience.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Broad product, technology or industry expertise.
  • Ability to craft and articulate strategic solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of implementation methodologies and best practices.
  • Knowledge of competitive & partner products, technology and solutions.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
