Job Description: Learning & Development Specialist
Reports to: HR Manager

is an award-winning social venture that is building a sustainable sanitation
network throughout Nairobi's slums by creating a network of local entrepreneurs
who run small-scale sanitation centers.
We
provide affordable, accessible and hygienic sanitation services to individuals.
We safely collect and convert the waste into valuable by-products.
We
serve nearly 10,000 people every single day with hygienic sanitation through a
network of 200 sanitation facilities.
Roles &
Responsibilities
The
Learning & Development Specialist is an 8-12 month consulting position
based in Nairobi, Kenya.
The
person will be responsible for developing and driving competency and skills
development at Sanergy.
Across
all divisions at Sanergy, we believe in investing time and resources into
developing our talented team into exceptionally high-performing individuals.
This
role is responsible for ensuring that development happens.
The
right person for the job should have excellent presentation skills and a strong
background in developing and executing learning & development strategies
for people with very different backgrounds and skill-sets.

The responsibilities
for this role include:
Understand
the core, leadership, and technical competencies required by each Sanergy
department, and ensure that each teammate and therefore department is operating
as effectively as possible
Create
the Learning & Development strategy for each level and department of
Sanergy
Execute
full cycle process of needs assessment, design, content development, tools and
evaluation of learning curriculums, and evaluating the effectiveness of the
Learning & Development Strategy.
Coach
and Mentor the HR team to empower them to become exceptional, pro-active,
tenacious leaders
Recruit
Learning and Development officer(s) and build their capacity for flawless
execution of these responsibilities for a full-time role.
Qualifications:
Extensive
experience in talent development (+5 years’ experience)
Extensive
experience in creating training curriculum for delivery through a variety of
formats and mediums (video, online, on-the-job, classroom, etc.)
Demonstrated
ability in adult learning principles
Proven
ability to think strategically and creatively
Superior
verbal and written communication
Superior
multi-tasking, organizational skills
Proven
managerial skills
