Position Description:
The
Information Technology (IT) Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day
operational activities of IT support, network administration, and systems.
A
majority of the incumbent’s time will be spent working on projects to help grow
the Belladonna Pharmacy’s technology infrastructure, including its website.
Responsibilities
Support
Belladonna Pharmacy staff with IT-related problems in a responsive and service
oriented manner.
Setup,
manage and maintain IT-related equipment.
Monitor
backup jobs and ensure high level of completion success rate.
Manage
time and projects effectively.
Help
put processes in place to maintain a stable network environment.
Train
staff with IT related equipment.
Assist
the Management team with project work to grow the technology infrastructure of
Belladonna Pharmacy.
Assist
with the troubleshooting, installation, and implementation of systems.
Ensure
data integrity with regard to Belladonna Pharmacy’s fixed asset inventories.
Provide
input and recommendations to Belladonna Pharmacy surrounding hardware and
software technologies and how these technologies can assist the business being
especially proactive with new technologies.
Develop
and monitor performance levels of software and hardware and evaluate,
recommend, and propose alternative methods of information processing.
Develop
and maintain information architectures (data, application, network) ensuring
the system is on-line daily.
Maintain
hardware and software maintenance agreements to ensure integrity of operations
processes.
With
the support of The Digital Consulting Group, design and support Belladonna
Pharmacy’s website as required.
Provide
proper training to Belladonna Pharmacy staff and relevant specialists on
browsing Belladonna Pharmacy’s website as required.

Preferred
Experience
Higher
education in computer science, programming or related field.
More
than three years experience in network administration, programming, designing,
websites or related field.
Knowledge
and experience in preparation of reports on required procedures.
Intermediate
to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Maintenance
of network equipment.
Ability
and skills in performing analysis of data collected, if required.
Experience
in working on personal computer and knowledge of software.
