We are currently looking for an individual who:-
- Has
extensive knowledge of motor vehicle importation and declaration including
European vehicles
- Knows
how to use Orbus for application of IDF’s and has the necessary
qualifications
- Has
extensive knowledge on the CRSP – ensuring correct values are always used
- Has
experience in clearing diplomatic vehicles as well as using PRO1B
- Bond
Management and Cancellation Procedures
- Experience
in consolidation operations is a big plus
The role is for a highly self-motivated and well
organized individual whose role will be:-
- Handling
and overseeing shipments
- Ensuring
all correct paperwork is in possession for clearance purposes
- Ensure
customer duty amounts are informed to them early enough
- Ensure
declarations are lodged on the manifest number being made available
- Getting
number plates of choice
- Applying
for IDF’s
- Keeping
track of shipments through the Simba System
- Help
sales staff and management prepare correct quotations
- Bond
cancellation
- Keeping
management informed of shipment status and customers where management
requires
- Raising
invoices
- Supervision
of shipments until destination
- Advising
management on challenges as well as how to overcome the challenges
- Advising
management on best ways to grow the business
- Any
other aspects that may come about on a day to day basis
Skills Required:-
- Minimum
5 years of experience
- Must
have a diploma in clearing & forwarding course from a recognized
institution
- Good
knowledge on customs laws
- Have
very high level of ethics and integrity
- Be
extremely customer focused
- Strong

- Strong
Organization Skills
- Be
very detailed oriented
- Take
initiative both within and outside your functional area
- Treat
