Office and Procurement Assistant


access:energy Ltd. is a young and growing energy service provider specializing in off-grid electricity generation and distribution.

The company is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Office and Procurement Assistant whose work will span from material requisition and procurement; inventory database development and assistance with administrative duties. 

This work will tie in closely with the company's supply chain management and office operations.

The successful applicant is a self directed professional who feels comfortable with a varied work detail, enjoys problem solving and is committed to meticulous quality of delivery in his/her work.


The work will mainly be at access:energy's Kiboswa workshop with frequent trips to Kisumu city centre and Nairobi.

Remuneration and Timing

20,000/= - 30,000/= per month depending on experience.

The applicants should be ready to start beginning of July 2013.

Required Skills
  • At least 3 years experience in a similar position in a professional environment.
  • Ability to negotiate with vendors and suppliers.
  • Personable and professional with good communication skills.
  • Punctual, diligent and meticulous with close attention to detail.
  • A valid driver's license with at least two years driving experience.
  • Computer literacy with working knowledge of spreadsheets and database.
And Either:

A Diploma in Procurement.


A Diploma in Business Administration.

Desired Skills
  • Inquisitiveness and ability to negotiate.
  • Experience with inventory systems.
  • Initiative and self-motivation.
