Resort Manager, Jumuia Resort, Kisumu


Ref: MGR – JR

Reporting to the Operations Manager Resorts and Investments, this position will be responsible for providing overall leadership and management of the Resort with a view to ensuring that it operates at a profit while at the same time offering quality service in a Christian environment.  

The incumbent will be responsible for making recommendations on policies and procedures to the Operations Manager Resorts, as well as directing the strategic programmes and operational activities of the Resort.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Hotel Management
  • Post graduate diploma in Hotel Management if the applicant does not have a degree in Hotel Management
  • 5 years experience in a similar position

Resorts Sales Executive – Jumuia Resorts, Kisumu

Ref: RSE - JR

Reporting to the Sales and Marketing Manager, this position will be responsible for ensuring maximum revenues through effective negotiations with clients; effectively selling and promoting services and facilities with an aim of meeting set targets.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Kenya  Certificate Secondary School Education (KCSE)
  • Diploma in  Sales and Marketing
  • At least 2 years experience in a similar position in a busy environment
Other Competencies
  • Very smart appearance.
  • Mature and courteous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and inter-cultural orientation – should have appreciation of different cultural and religious backgrounds of the guests.
  • Good communication skills with good command of English and Kiswahili.

Administrative Secretary – Lower Eastern Region, Machakos

Reporting to the Regional Coordinator this position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Region.

Minimum Qualifications:

Reporting to the Health Coordinator, this position is responsible for managing patients in the Clinics that NCCK collaborates with in Nairobi

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE)
  • Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery
  • Registered by Nursing Council of Kenya
  • 3 years work experience in a busy out-patient clinic
Other Competencies
  • Training in Anti-retroviral therapy and TB treatment
  • Proficiency in computer skills
  • Good spoken and written English as well as spoken Kiswahili
  • Previous experience working with refugees will be an added advantage

Reporting to the Health Coordinator, this position is responsible for providing  preventive, promotive and curative services to refugees in Nairobi.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE)
  • Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing
  • Registered by Nursing Council of Kenya
  • 3 years work experience in a busy out-patient clinic
Other Competencies
  • Training in reproductive health and HIV/AIDS care
  • Proficiency in computer skills
  • Good spoken and written English as well as spoken Kiswahili
  • Previous experience working with refugees will be an added advantage

Assistant Accountant, Jumuia Conference & Country Home, Limuru 

Ref. AA – JCCH

Reporting to the Resort Accountant, this position will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with established internal controls.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE)
  • CPA 1
  • One year experience in a similar position.
Other competencies
  • Working knowledge of commonly used accounting packages

Programme  Accountant – Urban Refugee Assistance Programme, Huruma Community Health Clinic, Nairobi

Reporting to the Senior Accountant Programmes, this position will be responsible enhancing efficiency and accountability of the Programmes of the Council.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • KCSE or equivalent
  • CPA II
  • 3  years experience in a similar position

Programme Officer, Education - Head Office

Reporting to the Senior Programme Officer – Capacity Building for Membership, this position will be responsible for facilitating the establishment of Jumuia Schools and the delivery of NCCK Educational  Programmes;

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Education

  • 5 years post qualification professional experience in education.

Programme Officer, Emergency Response and Refugees Services - Head Office 

Ref: PO ERRS HO

Reporting to the Senior Programme Officer – Capacity Building for Membership, this position will be responsible for providing leadership in all initiatives for emergency response and coordination of Refugees Services.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • A University Degree in related field namely disaster management, international relations, development, political science and social sciences from a recognized university.
  • Minimum five years of relevant working experience (organizations that work on humanitarian aid and refugees services) including experience working in the ASAL regions.
  • Good understanding of governance and corruption risks in the Humanitarian Aid sector and mitigation measures.
Other competencies:
  • High computer literacy
  • Experience in conducting needs assessments and setting up new programmes in emergency setting.
  • Knowledge of different sectors including WASH, Shelter, health, education, Camp Management and Protection.
  • Experience in training of staff.
  • Knowledge of DRR, HAP, Rights Based Approach and other humanitarian principles and approaches.
  • Ability to spend 50-60% of time at the refugee’s camp

Regional Coordinator – Lower Eastern Region 

Ref: RC - LE

Reporting to the Senior Programme Officer, Operations, this position is responsible for facilitating the planning and implementation of Council's work in the Region with particular emphasis on programme delivery, fundraising and financial accountability.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Humanities or Social Sciences
  • High computer Literacy
  • 4 years experience in a similar position
Other Competences:
  • Demonstrable Christian maturity
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Planning, monitoring and training capacities
  • Skills in resource mobilization
