Primary Responsibilities:
  • Identify trendsetter ideas by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual contributors and their accomplishments.
  • Locate or propose potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities.
  • Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments.
  • Develop negotiating strategies and positions by studying integration of new venture with company strategies and operations; examining risks and potentials; estimating partners' needs and goals.
  • Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
  • Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Skills and Certification:
  • A Bachelors’ Degree in a business related field.
  • MBA has higher chance
  • Knowledgeable on the existing company markets as well as market segments that can be captured.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computerize packages.
  • Attention to detail with good analytical skills, initiative and a concern for quality.
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and completely.
  • Setting high standards of performance for self; assuming responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments.
  • Planning and Organizing Work: Ability to plan all the assigned tasks and prioritize to deliver expected results within the set deadlines.
  • Delivers agreed output within the set timelines.
  • Clear and concise in written and spoken communication; keeps all relevant people informed of progress in work, presents complex information and concepts in a way which is simple to understand.
  • Ability to deliver desired results through others.
Experience:
  • Post Graduate with 5-9 years’ Experience
  • Candidates must have good contacts with the local authorities and should have the complete knowledge of handling business development activities for East Africa
  • Exposure to telecom industry
  • Good writing skills,
  • FMCG / Telecom sales experience is a must.
