1. Position Purpose Statement
As Supply chain manager for Kenya site, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating end to end activities relating to supply chain function more specifically Safety, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Production, Logistics & customer Operations by ensuring that Key Performance Indicators are achieved and maintained within set budgets.
- Responsible for
budgeting and separate plant profit & loss
- To Lead, Manage
and Develop the supply chain team by ensuring that Mondelez standards are
adhered to; and to maintain acceptable levels of discipline within the
teams by ensuring alignment of their goals as described.
- Co-ordinate
investment requests, payback calculations, purchasing, installation, and
commissioning of new lines.
- Organize the
production to meet the needs of the plant’s customers (business units) in
volume, time and assortment required, within the budgeted costs and
quality standards.
- Drive the
Logistics and Customer Service agenda through the achievement of best in
class supply chain solutions by being instrumental in charting the
L&CO vision and scope as part of a broader supply chain vision for the
integrated business.
- Ensure effective
planning processes and communication is in place between CS & L and
Business Unit to allow smooth flow of information, flexibility to support
customer (business unit) product requirements, and proactive solutions to
issues, which arise.
- Ensure full
compliance of all plant operations, logistics and customer operations
processes with safety and quality statutory requirements
- Ensure plant
growth in line with the business needs. New CAPEX projects are analyzed,
prepared for approval and implemented in a manner that gives the company
cost, quality or time-to-market advantage over the competition. Manage /
maintain the contacts with Business Units, R&D, GSC to ensure smooth
flow of information and co-operation. Prepare the plant and organization
for the larger expansion (processing) and be ready to execute.
- Budget, monitor
and proactively manage the manufacturing and logistics costs, ensuring the
focus of the manufacturing organization on achieving budgets and cost
targets while maintaining quality, safety and productivity standards.
- Ensure the
company’s quality management system is implemented and maintained, and
company’s quality requirements are met.
- Ethical and
Legal Compliance: Know the ethical and legal compliance responsibilities
of the position; lead ethically and model compliant behaviour; maintain an
environment where employees can speak up without fear of retaliation;
ensure employees in area of responsibility understand the compliance
responsibilities of their jobs and actively participate in the compliance
program

Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Language Requirements
- Minimum
University degree, preferably Engineering/Logistics
- Good knowledge
of food processing or food technology
- Good knowledge
of industrial engineering, planning and logistics
- Financial
planning, budgeting, cost analysis skills
- Ability to
effectively lead, motivate and direct the supply chain staff
- Good PC skills
in Manufacturing applications (SAP, MFGPro and MS Office)
- Ability to build
strategic working relationships both internally and with external
stakeholders of diverse background
- Passion for
winning Disciplined, competitive, resilient and results driven work ethic
- Minimum 7 years’
experience in heading supply chain function
- Basic project
engineering knowledge and experience
- Previous
knowledge and experience in powder beverages manufacturing technology

complex and involves good understanding of integrated end to end supply
chain functions with combination of planning, quality, production, safety
and compliance processes.
- The incumbent
need to have strong people management skills that include ability to
influence, communicate and collaborate with different stakeholders both
