Manager : LCS Supervisor
Store Man
To provide for the day to day stores operations such as goods receipts, storage and distribution of stock, stock control, goods classification, goods returns and all attendant documentation.
It
further encompasses stock statistics including, but not restricted to stock
turnover, stock movement control, order level control, obsolescence control and
depreciation of values.
It
also includes procurement of local stock items to the extent supplies by Krones
AG are inadequate.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Main activities :
- Daily use of a
computerized inventory system;
- Receiving and
accepting of deliveries of supplies, tools, materials, and equipment;
inspecting deliveries for damage, verification of quantities received
against purchase orders and delivery documentation, which also includes
goods returns by customers.
- Correct storing
of deliveries inwards using bins and /or specialized storage containers
using appropriate packaging.
- Correct
recording of receipts inwards and dispatches outwards and generally
maintaining stock records.
- Monitoring of
minimum and maximum inventory levels and requisitioning of new stocks
where minimum levels have been reached.
- Dispatching of
stores numerically correct appropriately packed in accordance with
Customer orders together with correct delivery documentation.
- Securing return
of duly signed and completed delivery documentation from customers (PODs),
which are forwarded to the company’s accounts department.
- Conducting
interim and year-end stock counts
- Conducting
interim and year-end stock counts
- Recommending
stock adjustments in terms of accepted obsolescence rules.
- Maintaining
warehouse in a clean and orderly condition.
- Maintaining
spare part documentation
- Attend to
emergency deliveries outside normal trading hours
- Prepare
quotations for customers
- Client visits in
the Nairobi Area.

- Warehouse
operations and methods , stocks and inventory management

receiving practices, procedures and terminology

Safety principles ,practices and Fire management
- Methods and
techniques of effective customer service.
- Office
procedures, methods, and equipment including computers and applicable software
applications such as word processing, spreadsheets and databases.
Qualifications
and education required
- Higher Diploma
in stores management or similar qualifications
Specific
Job Skills
- Maintain
accurate storekeeping records, files, indexes and inventories.
- Follow
established clerical procedures and learn / follow the specific operations
of the warehouse.
- Follow
established safety practices
- Perform simple
arithmetic computations quickly and accurately
- Maintain a
clean, organized and efficient warehouse
- Type and enter
data at a speed necessary for successful job performances.
- Inventory
software programs utilized in inventory management and control.
- Verbally
communicate effectively both orally and in writing with outside vendors,
as well as office workforce and immediate co-workers.
- Establish and
maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course
of work and contribute to a successful team effort.
- Material
handling or systemized storekeeping experience is desirable
Computer
Skills
- Proficiency with
Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word and Outlook), PASTEL (pref)
- Operate office
equipment including a personal computer, fax machine, copier, printer and
adding machine.
Literacy
and Numeracy
- Good command of
English and ability to read , write and speak English
Management
Ability
- Ability to
follow instruction ,work under pressure and with minimal supervision
- Ability to
interact professionally at all levels of the business
- Must be
professional , organized and have ability to work quickly
Other
- A certificate of
good conduct
- Additional
occupational training such as first aid, Health and Safety, Security
awareness would be an asset.
