Data Centre Manager

National Bank of Kenya,one of the leading banks with a vision to becoming the Bank of choice in the provision of financial services within the region has an exciting opportunity for dynamic, experienced, self driven, result oriented professional to fill the following position:

Reporting to: Head of Operations & Technology

Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day to day activities of the Bank’s Data Centre.

The role will involve interaction with core technology support teams to ensure smooth operations of the Bank’s technology platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for ensuring acceptable uptime levels for all Data Centre services
  • Responsible for the proper management and planning of Data Centre shift schedules
  • Ensure that Application System Run Manuals (ASRM) are in place for all applications. He/she will also responsible for periodic review and update of the same. .
  • Ensure that all systems backups and restoration at the Disaster Recovery (DR) site are conducted as per schedule and within given timelines.
  • Management and execution of Data Centre SLAs, both with internal stakeholders and external service providers.
  • Ensure that Data Centre operations adhere to Bank’s policies and procedures
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a computer related field. Masters Degree will be an added advantage.
  • Professional ICT related certification is a must have.
  • At least 7 years’ exposure in Data Centre Operations, at least 4 of which must have been at a
  • Managerial / Supervisory level in a Banking environment.
