Chief Operations Manager Job in Kenya


We are a leading company in the agri-business carrying out large scale dairy, sheep, crop husbandry, horticulture farming and investment in real estate. 

As part of our growth, strategies, we are recruiting a high caliber, qualified, innovative and self-driven individual with an enviable track record of employment within the agriculture sector for a newly created position of Chief Operations Manager.
 
As an operations manager, you will be the business re-engineering and development manager responsible for development of efficient and effective various business strategies.
 

Specifically you will be responsible for at least the following tasks:-
  • Identifying additional business opportunities and development of new products within the farm.
  • Research and Development.
  • Development and implementation of growth and marketing strategies.
  • Preparation of budget to support overall farm operations.
  • Liaison with heads of departments and coordination of operations in all departments and other service lines.
  • Risks assessment and risks management.
  • Coordination of production, marketing, sales and transport.
  • Projects management to include defining scope of work, staffing and funding proposal.
  • Establishment of annual action plans in line with periodical strategic plans.
  • Provide overall direction and monitoring of all business activities in line with the strategic plans.
  • Human Resource Management to include career development and capacity building.
  • Overall coordination of daily operations of the farm.
  • Other duties as assigned by the board from time to time.
Minimum Job Requirement
  • Degree in Agriculture.
  • Masters Degree in agriculture related discipline.
  • Ten years hands on/demonstratable experience in a large scale farming environment in a senior position.
  • Excellence communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-driven, ability to work under pressure and team player.
  • Excellent leadership and analytical skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of Kenyan and International markets for agricultural products.
Remuneration package will be negotiable
