Impact
Research and Development Organization is a registered Kenyan Non-Governmental
Organization (IRDO) with a main office in Kisumu and regional offices in over
15 districts in Nyanza, Rift Valley and Western Provinces.
IRDO’s principal mandate is to design, implement and evaluate HIV/AIDS research
and intervention programs that improve the health of individuals and local
communities. We are looking for qualified and experienced personnel to fill in the following positions.
Coordinators:
HIV
Prevention Studies and Programs (5 positions)
Job Summary:
Provides oversight for
and coordination of IRDO studies or programs.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Work with
Principal Investigator/Program Manager to hire study staff and oversee
their orientation, training and performance.
- Develop, up-
date and oversee the implementation of SOPs/Work Plans.
- Ensure that
study/program activities are carried out according to the guidelines.
- Ensure that
correct information is relayed to clients and other stakeholders in a
timely manner.
- Serve as a
liaison person between the IRDO, staff, clients and the general community.
- Prepare and
submit progress reports at required intervals; present at meetings and
conferences.
Minimum
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Must have a
Bachelors degree in Social Sciences or health related field; Masters
degree in relevant field added advantage
- Must have 3
years supervisory experience in HIV prevention research or programs,
preferably in a busy NGO.
- Other
competencies: Ability to multi-task; excellent writing and presentation
skills; excellent communication skills and teamwork; can work long hours,
including weekends and public holidays when necessary; proficient in
Microsoft Office packages.
