Educational Qualification
- The
basic Diploma / Degree required for the job is in Mechanical engineering
from an accredited institution.
- Higher
education in management will be added advantage.

Role and Responsibility
- Knowledge
of government procurement policies
- Knowledge
of PPRA rules
- Purchasing
process for government.
- Knowledge
of Tendering process in government
- To
prepare technical / commercial tenders
- Sales
to Railways Locos , Parts , direct and through tenders
- Sales
to Marine Engines Parts direct and through tenders
- Submission
of Pre Qualifications with government / Parastatal/ NGO/ Corporates
- Be
able to understand Technical specifications of tenders.
- Estimates
labor, material, construction, and equipment costs in projects.
- Inspects
completed installations for conformance with design and equipment
specifications and safety standards.
- Observes
operation of installation for conformance with operational standards.
- Able
to prepare TCC / LCC of machines/ products
- He
has to do the effective planning of the new equipment required.
- The
person needs to act as consultants to advise their clients on the nature
of machine being sold to them and explain servicing /warranty of machine.
