Dynamic People Consulting is recruiting a Project Manager (Interior Design) for one
of its clients, Planning Interiors Ltd (PIL) -a leading professional interior
design firm in East Africa.
The jobholder’s primary responsibility is to coordinate and
oversee the Project Life Cycle of the group companies from inception through
completion.
The incumbent will specifically be responsible for the following:- Manage
Project Resource allocation;
- Track
and Report on Project deliverables/milestones and provide project tracking
reports;
- Delegate
and oversee sections of a project with other design team members to meet
deadlines;
- Maintain
accurate project records of accountable time, billable percentages,
project status, 70% GP profitability or higher and scheduling timeline;
- Handle
Project Accounting Coordination;
- Monitor
project creep, and work towards minimization and management of delays;
- Effectively
manage project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and
approved.
The successful Candidate should have the following
Qualifications:
- A
minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a Project Management role in a
related field;
- Relevant
tertiary level training in the Interior Design, Engineering or Building
& Construction fields;
- Familiarity
with Project Management tools and/or Software packages;
- Possess
effective communication, presentation, leadership and relationship
building skills;
- Demonstrate
ability to implement and deliver short, medium and long-term strategies.
