future. ACTED was created in 1993, is governed by the French law and has its
head quarters in Paris, France.ACTED Kenya is looking for an experienced self driven and a self oriented professional to fill the post of an Appraisal Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant to be based in Maralal, Samburu County
Reporting to the Appraisal Monitoring and Evaluation Officer –
Maralal, the AME assistant will bear the following;
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Data
gathering from all primary sources as required by the AMEU
- He/she
will work alongside primary stakeholders to carry out survey assignments
and assessments in accordance with set procedures and standards
- Routine
data quality management and supervision of enumerators; this includes
ensuring data accuracy and completeness
- Routine
participatory monitoring of program activities
- The
post will involve considerable data entry from field reports as well as
initial analyses
- Other
tasks as required by Base AMEU Officer and Capital AMEU Officer
Qualification and experience required
- Diploma
in a social science or related field-Degree in social sciences or related
field preferred
- Experience
in participatory assessments, monitoring and evaluation, data processing
and analysis
- Good
contextual knowledge of local issues, community priorities, social and
cultural constraints and realities
- Ability
to organize and train field teams
- Resourcefulness
to operate under frequently trying and isolated field circumstances
- Ability
to use Microsoft Excel and Word
- Fluency
in English, Kiswahili and/or local Samburu dialect
- Reliable,
honest and sincere work attitude
- Good
communication and inter-personal skills
