Position: Heavy Truck Drivers
(20 Urgently Needed)

Our client, a logistic company seeks to employ 20 experienced
truck drivers to perform work in the operation of Heavy vehicles whilst
assuring safe transportation of cargo to and from various destinations.
- To
operate the company vehicles in a safe and professional manner including
the operation Oil Tankers, and flat beds trucks.
- To
collect cargo from specified locations within an agreed time-frame per
collection
- To
collect from company facilities, any item approved by the company for
carriage.
- Deliver
any of the above to a third party or other company location / s directed
by the company management.
- Collect
cargo, as approved by the company, from any third party and deliver to any
of the company premises and/or a third party as approved by the company.
- To
ensure all company assets are maintained in a clean and roadworthy
condition at all times. This includes vehicles, trailers, forklifts and
any other equipment issued to carry out the driver's duties.
- Complete
all necessary documentation accurately and neatly to ensure all products,
Oils and/or any other material are carried legally and within the terms of
the company's Policies and procedures.
Qualifications/experience
- Evidence
of driver’s previous safe driving record from past employers and good
conduct is sought.
- Driver
must have a valid Tanzanian Class C license with experience of petroleum
product handling
- All
drivers will undergo a medical test of fitness to drive and health
screening program including vision before recruitment by company’s
nominated doctor.
- Employee
must possess a respective driver's license.
- Must
be aged between 30 – 45 with an experience of not less than 5 years of
driving HCV’s with a clean driving record, if necessary, ability to
certify in special needs assistance training, defensive driver training,
Safety, Fire and first aid.
- Must
take and successfully pass a pre-employment drug test, as well as at
random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident drug and alcohol tests.
- Secondary
Education Certificates with Good interpersonal communication skills,
fluent in Swahili and little bit of English.
- Knowledge
of basic automotive maintenance procedures.
