Major
Purpose
- Oversee
collection of business information based on locations and suburbs
- Work hand in
hand with the Project Manager – Deals & VP E-Commerce in product
development and improvement of Rupu’s location based products including
group buying at localized levels
- Identify,
approach and close potential partners
- Oversee
recruitment training of on the ground field agents
- Develop and
implement data collection strategy and methodology
- Develop
initiatives to grow stick-ability of the directories to both merchants and
customers
- Develop quality
control measures to ensure accuracy and relevance of data
- Establish a
baseline of data analysis and metric reporting to drive decision making
across the business
- Oversee growth
beyond the borders of Nairobi especially into major cities and towns
- Drive sales
efforts in upselling product specific features as well as cross-selling
other Rupu products
- Contribute to
broad strategic initiatives e.g email and online marketing, monitoring and
reporting competitor’s activities and numbers
- Research and
identify opportunities for Ringier to further distinguish its offering
- Take over any
duties assigned
Working
Relationships (Internally & Externally)
- Technical
department to fix bugs, implement new features and ensure smooth running
of the platform
- General Manager
Kenya – Coordination and collaboration in the execution of tasks critical
in the delivery of the KPIs as per budgeted figures and targets
- Project Manager
– Deals to figure out ways to upsell and cross-sell products
- VP E-Commerce
for issue escalations and reporting
- Marketing team
for SEO & SEM optimization
- Customer Service
to ensure customer satisfaction and effective social marketing
Qualification
and Experience
- Natural Sales
Ability
- Attention to
detail is critical and a self-starter approach is essential
- Team player,
self-motivated, entrepreneurial and very comfortable working in a
fast-paced, start-up environment
- Strong ability
to communicate effectively and efficiently, via written and oral formats,
to all levels of the organization
- Exceptional MS
Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Prior experience
in marketing and on the ground marketing activations
- Degree in
Marketing and or Communications or IT would be an added advantage
