Positions

1. Customer Service Specialist


As all of our business is generated by customers contacting our call center, the efficiency, warmth and charm of our Customer Service Specialists is absolutely crucial to our ongoing success.

As a Customer Service Specialist at Geeks On Call, you will be based in our office on Nairobi. 

You will enjoy working in a fast-paced, challenging, supportive and fun team environment ‘wowing’ our customers and providing back-office support for our field technicians around Kenya (no technical knowledge needed).

Duties include:
  • Answering calls generated from our advertising and repeat customer base (inbound only, no cold calling)
  • Communicating effectively to collect information from the customer and providing accurate and necessary information to the customer
  • Coordinating service appointments
  • Dispatching the appointments to technicians in the field via wireless technology
  • Monitoring the process from start to finish
  • Providing friendly, courteous customer service to customers and field technicians alike
  • General office duties.
Requirements:
  • Most important is an unfailingly bright, cheerful phone manner with a willing, helpful attitude
  • A positive, confident, outgoing and energetic personality
  • A proven track record in customer service (in any field)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (fluent English is essential)
  • Highly organized and able to multi-task
  • The ability to thrive under pressure
  • A strong sense of urgency
  • A competitive drive for exceeding performance targets
  • Sound PC skills
  • A background in the ICT Field will be an asset.
2. Field Technician

Our Field Technicians are the absolute lifeblood of our business. 

They deliver the outstanding onsite service at homes and offices which ensure our customers return again and again. 

We are actively seeking both full-time and part-time technicians to work from our Nairobi office.

As a Geeks On Call Technician you will delight customers with your efficiency, warmth and technical expertise whilst enjoying the full support of our close-knit back-office team.

The right candidates will have:
  • 3 or more years’ experience in the desktop support field and a proven-track record in troubleshooting, repairing and providing support for computers (PC and/or Apple) along with networks in both home and office environments
  • Relevant IT qualifications/certifications
  • Sound troubleshooting skills
  • Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to explain technical issues in basic “plain English” terms
  • Excellent organisation and time-management skills
3. Direct Sales Representatives

The sales Team will achieve an agreed sales target on a monthly basis mostly for corporate customers. 

You will be expected to drive sales for both corporate and residential customers.

Duties include:
  • Achieve sales volumes objectives as per sales targets set and agreed weekly, monthly and quarterly.
  • Debt Collection- Ensure all accounts receivables are collected at the agreed times.
Requirements:
  • A positive, confident, outgoing and energetic personality
  • A proven track record in Direct Sales.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (fluent English is essential)
  • Highly organized and able to multi-task
  • The ability to thrive under pressure
