Senior Technical Advisor - RH/FP/MNH
The Senior Technical Advisor- RH/FP/MNH will provide technical oversight and guidance in Reproductive Health (RH), Family Planning (FP) and Maternal, Neonatal and Health (MNH) across Jhpiego- Kenya programs.
S/He will also liaise with Jhpiego Technical Advisors regionally
and globally to ensure comprehensive RH/FP/MNH technical and programmatic
support to all programs.
Responsibilities:
- Provide
overall technical leadership and quality implementation of RH/FP/MNH
programs
- Provide
technical guidance on integration of RH/FP/MNH with HIV and other
technical areas
- Participate
in the development and/or review of RH/FP/MNH policy and guidelines
documents, in close collaboration with Ministry of Health (MOH) and
partners
- Participate
in and assist to convene national level meetings for RH/FP/MNH
- Contribute
to scientific and implementation research to advance RH/FP/MNH programming
- Liaise
with donors, MOH, partners and key stakeholders on matters relating to
RH/FP/MNH
- Develop
technical presentations for national and international meetings
- Write
technical reports on RH/FP and MNH for donors and MOH as required
- Represent
Jhpiego in technical meetings among donors, partners and MOH
- Provide
technical updates to Kenya program staff on key issues in RH/FP
- Contribute
to business development process by identifying new funding opportunities
and development of proposals and writing concept papers
Qualifications
- Master’s
degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Over
7 years’ experience in a technical leadership position for RH/FP/MNCH
- Extensive
knowledge of the FP/RH/MNCH programs in Kenya
- Team
player with demonstrated ability to produce quality results in a timely
manner
- Experience
in working with MOH systems and personnel
- Experience
in working in a fast-paced multi-agency/organizational environment
- Excellent
analytical, communication and report writing skills
- Computer
literacy, particularly in the use of MS office.
