who are victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, disease, and famine with
the purpose of sharing God’s love through His Son, Jesus Christ.
We are seeking qualified applicants to fill the above
position.
The Scheduler will provide support for the aviation time by providing aircraft and flight crew schedules as well as providing aviation support to the Office manager.
Key Responsibilities
The Scheduler will provide support for the aviation time by providing aircraft and flight crew schedules as well as providing aviation support to the Office manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure
all flight requests are received and promptly responded to by assigning
aircraft and pilots to each request;
- Coordinate
aircraft maintenance scheduling with Chief Engineer;
- Provide
pilots with perspective on the scheduling process;
- Check
Schedule for errors and correct;
- Ensure
all flight permission requests are submitted and procured;
- Ensure
all international flights have permission applied and granted;
- Coordinate
with Bookings staff to facilitate efficient flight operations;
- Ensure
all invoices (permission, navigation and landing, Wilson airport charges)
are paid in timely fashion;
- Ensure
all Kenyan based foreign registered aircraft clearances are obtained;
- Ensure
necessary flight records are kept;
- Ensure
that the schedule board is up to date and conflicts are resolved;
- Keep
accurate flight records including bookings and pilot – aircraft
assignment;
- Track
aircraft time and update differences between WINGMAN time and actual time;
- Coordinate
aircraft cleaning;
- With
a generous and serving spirit perform all other tasks and responsibilities
assigned for the benefit of Samaritan’s Purse.
Education and Experience
- Degree
or Diploma certificate in Travel operations and management or related
field from a recognized institution;
- IATA
Training qualifications
- At
least 2 years experience in travel operations
- Previous
experience in using a travel operations system
Skills and Competencies
- Excellent
communication and interpersonal skills
- Good
organizational skills
- Excellent
IT skills, in particular Word, Excel, email.
- High
standard of written and spoken English.
- Ability
to work in a multi-cultural environment
- Attention
to detail
- Proficient
computer skills (Microsoft Office)
- Ability
to work within a team
