Operations Officer - Corporate Governance

IFC’s Sustainable Business Advisory Services (SBA), works with firms in manufacturing, agribusiness, services and infrastructure, to contribute to the creation of inclusive, environmentally sustainable, and efficient markets.
The Africa Corporate Governance Program, part of SBA, has been
set up to enhance the transparency and efficiency of the business environment,
and helps companies build sustainable business through improved corporate
governance.
The Operations Officer will lead the implementation of the
program in East Africa, deliver concepts of products and services, and manage
their implementation in client firms, as well as at the regulatory and macro
levels.
S/he will oversee the output of country project teams, liaise
with IFC teams across the Corporation, and advise participating stakeholders on
corporate governance issues.
Requirements:
- Post-graduate
degree and a professional background in legal, finance or business.
- 7+
years’ experience related to corporate governance; this should include
delivering corporate governance in private companies, and developing and
managing technical assistance, advisory services or consultancy programs,
preferably in Africa.
- Excellent
interpersonal and communication skills and the capacity to keep motivation
high when working on multiple and complex projects.
