Due to the growth and expansion, AIC Kijabe Hospital is inviting

the following positions:
Orthopedics Surgeon
2 Positions
Appointment to this position makes one a leader and teacher
because of the level of academic qualifications and experience.
It may also require the incumbent to take up
coordination / leadership (supervisory)/teaching positions that according to
the present hospital administrative structure.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- In
collaboration with the orthopedic team, to care for the health care needs
of patients referred by the Kijabe Hospital primary care and surgical
physicians for orthopedic problems
- To
work with the In-charges of the men’s, women’s and pediatric wards and
their quality improvement committees to continually improve the quality of
care delivered to orthopedic patients
- To
collaborate the work of the Medical Officer and Clinical Officer interns
and any Registrars on the orthopedic service. This includes being an
active teacher and mentor at all times.
Qualifications and experience:
- Medical
Degree of M B Ch B or equivalent in good standing with the Kenya Medical
Practitioners and Dentists Board (MPDB)
- M
Med or equivalent in Orthopedics
- Interest
in teaching students, interns, MOs, and registrars
Orthopedics Residents
2 Positions
5 years residency training in Orthopedics Surgery accredited
with COSECSA (College of Surgeons of East, Central and Southern Africa) in one
of the leading orthopedic facilities in East Africa.
The training will take place under qualified Orthopedic Surgeons
in a modem, 8-room theatre suite.
Requirements for consideration:

must be a graduate of a recognized medical school and have successfully completed
a one year internship as a medical officer
- Applicant
must already have a current Kenyan medical license
- Ready
to relocate to Kijabe Hospital for 5 years; Suitable housing will be

Orthopedics Clinical Officer
1 Position
The incumbent will work and train under the Orthopedic Surgeons to meet health care needs of Orthopedics patients in the wardsand clinics.
Requirements for consideration:
- Successful
completion of KMTC-approved Clinical Medicine Course and approved
internship year programme or an equivalent qualification
- Additional
(formal or on-job) training in Orthopedics from an accredited institution
- Registration
by the Kenya Clinical Officer Council or application pending
Paediatric Nursing & Allied Services Manager
1 Position
The role involves overseeing a 67 beds ward and additional
nursing activities related to the BKKH program.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directs
nursing services in the Pediatric ward
- Oversee
BKKH program related nursing activities such as mobile clinics
- Provides
spiritual and psychological support to staff, patients and relatives where
possible and refer appropriately
- Responsible
for ensuring the protection of children and disabled persons receiving
services at Bethany Kids facilities
Qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor
of Science in Nursing with registration in good standing
- Experience
in pediatric nursing will be an added advantage
- At
least 2 years in administrative and/or leadership experience
Radiographers
3 Positions
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform
radiologic, ultrasonic and ECG examinations on patients sent for the same
and avail the results to the referring physician
- Doing
portable examinations in the wards and in the operating room
- As
Radiation Safety Officer, ensure that all equipment staff and patient are
dealt with in a safe and effective manner Report to the Radiation
Protection Board as required
Qualifications and experience
- Applicants
must have a Diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences from Kenya Medical
Training College
- Experience
in CT radiography will be an added advantage
ICT Manager
1 Position
Reporting to the Finance Division Director, the successful candidate
will provide overall leadership of the ICT department in the design,
development and maintenance of information and communication systems so as to
ensure that CT drives the business.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maximizing
service delivery and fully exploiting technological and business process
innovations;
- Formulating
and maintaining ICT standards, policies and procedures that match best
practice in the industry and comply with all regulations and licensing
requirements;
- Developing
ICT budgets and managing all ICT operational and capital expenditures;
- Providing
effective leadership and management of ICT staff to build a highly
motivated and performing team
Qualifications and experience:
- Hold
at least a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or
a related discipline
- Have
at least 5 years of progressive experience in ICT, of which at least 2
years should be in team leadership of a high performing ICT team
- Have
in-depth knowledge of windows and Linux systems administration, project
management, website administration, business continuity planning and
strategic management;
- Have
in-depth knowledge of business system analysis, project management,
business continuity planning and strategic management;
- Knowledge
in Java and Postgres SQL programming will be an added advantage
Resource Mobilization Officer
1 Position
The Resource Mobilization Officer under the direct supervision
of Hospital Director will have responsibility for developing, ensuringadherence
to and advice on the development of standards for project proposals and
fundraising efforts.
The incumbent will also provide effective coordination of Kijabe
Hospital fundraising activities.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Gathering
intelligence regarding various key donors
- Coordinating
the development and submission of project proposals to donors including
assisting in negotiating contracts and amendments
- Maintaining
a database of financial contributions received and outstanding from donors
- Leading
and conducting market research and marketing initiatives to assess donor
priorities and identify opportunities for resource mobilization
- Establish
quality standards for proposals and concept notes and ensure achievement
(through monitoring, mentoring and training)
Qualifications and experience:
- Applicants
must have Degree in Marketing or Public Relations; Additional training in
Resource Mobilization will be an added advantage
- Good
communication (writing and spoken) skills is mandatory
Guest House Manager
1 Position
The incumbent will responsible for overseeing the running and
maintenance of the hospital’s guest wing.
It also involves ensuring the housing support
functions in a timely fashion.
Some of the main duties include:
- Managing
the guest wing of hospital which includes orientation of visitors,
settling them in their houses etc
- Interpretation
and formulation of the housing policies.
- Budgeting
and monitoring the housing expenses.
- Participate
in the process of recruitment, training and supervising of housing and
guest house staff.
- Ensuring
the maintenance and general upkeep of all housing and guest house grounds
Qualifications and experience:
- Applicants
must have Degree in Hotel Management or Facility Management. Diploma
holders with at least 5 years progressive leadership experience may apply.
- At
least 3 years experience in a leadership position
Human Resources Officer - Resourcing
1 Position
The position holder will be responsible for timely acquisition of talent.
The incumbent will also participate in HR planning and workforce
management under the direction of the HR Director.
Qualifications and experience:
- Degree
