Tool / Die Maker
Applications are
invited from qualified persons meeting the following requirements:
- Higher
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (plant/production) or equivalent
- Minimum
5 years experience in a busy tool room
- Proven
experience in a busy Tool Room.
- Experience
in rolling mills a major advantage
- Knowledge
of Kaizen principles, ISO systems desired
Responsibilities
- Designing
and fabrication of production tools and multi-cavity blanking dies
- Analyzing
specifications, setting up and operating machine tools
- Fitting
and assembling machine parts to make and repair dies, cutting tools, jigs,
fixtures, gauges and machinist’s hand tools.
- Highly

2. Autoshop in Charge (Asst. Manager-Mechanical)
The primary purpose of
this position is to oversee repairs and maintenance of motor vehicles and other
utilities equipment within the plant
Requirements:
- HND or
Diploma in mechanical engineering
- 8 years
work experience in a heavy engineering company running fleet of auto
mobiles
- Auto
Electrical experience &/or qualification highly regarded
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining
vehicles, trucks, generators, water systems, compressors, forklifts and
other heavy duty machineries
- Coordinate
scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance as planned
- Oversee
regular checks/servicing of all equipment and safely maintain records
- Control
of workshop costs, budgeting and that all equipment is accounted for
- Knowledge
of Kaizen principles, ISO systems desired
A gross salary of Kshs. 85,000 plus other lucrative benefits
will be offered to the most suitable candidate.
