G. North & Son acts as a manufacturer’s representative,
dealing in the procurement, sale and servicing of various branded products for
the East African market.
G North & Son Ltd is seeking self driven, exceptional and suitably qualified individuals to fill the positions below:
Title: Stores Supervisor
Department: Procurement
Supervised by: Procurement Manager

Role Objective/Summary
Will be responsible for the overall management of the stores
ensuring proper controls, availability and storage of stocks and other supplies
for continuous business operations.
The Sales Representatives will be responsible for the following:
- Assist
in formulation and implementation of stock management policies and
procedures
- Prepare
and implement internal controls for receiving and issuing stock items
- Prepare
and control the approved budget for stores section
- Review
position of stocks and recommend restocking and disposal of obsolete items
- Identify
opportunities of improving on procedures and controls which will yield
maximum efficiency in service delivery to the users
- Organize
storage systems to maximize on space utilization and easy retrieval of
items
- Initiate
payment process for suppliers
- Put
in place control mechanisms to reduce stock outs of equipment and supplies
- Liaise
with user departments to review short and long term requirements
- Generate
timely, accurate and reliable management reports for the senior management
team
- Performing
any other duties as may be assigned by the Procurement Manager and or his
assigns from time to time.
The successful candidate should have the following
qualifications and skills:
- University
degree in supply chain management
- Holder
of CIPS qualification
- At
least 5 years relevant working experience in busy stores / purchasing
department 2 of which should be in senior management position
- Possession
of a valid certificate of good conduct
- Strong
human relations and interpersonal skills
- A
flexible individual capable of multi-tasking and able to withstand job
demand pressures
- Unquestionable
character and integrity
- Good
team player, self motivated, creative and innovative
- Experience
in computerized accounting in an ERP environment
