Sales Manager Job in Eldoret Kenya – Coca Cola

Rift Valley Bottlers Limited, situated in Eldoret, manufactures and distributes a wide range of Coca Cola products under the franchise of the Coca Cola Company. 

Our distribution network covers North Rift and parts of Western Kenya.

We seek to strengthen our human resource compliment by recruiting a qualified person for the position of General Sales Manager.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the job holder will be responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities and will provide leadership towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. 

The incumbent’s key tasks will be to:-
  • Carry out sales forecasting and strategic planning to ensure the sale and profitability of products, analyzing business developments and monitoring market trends.
  • Analyze the market trends and direct the appropriate course of action to achieve business volumes.
  • Review the structure and organization of the sales function to ensure effective fulfilment of its objectives and provide the flexibility in tapping opportunities.
  • Analyze customer performance, current market conditions and potential partner relationships
  • Manage the productivity of the marketing and sales plans and projects
  • Coordinate, review and report on all marketing activity and results
  • Identify, develop, and evaluate marketing strategy, based on knowledge of establishment objectives, market characteristics, and cost and mark-up factors.
  • In conjunction with the Finance Manager evaluate the financial aspects of product development, such as budgets, expenditures, research and development appropriations, and return-on-investment and profit-loss projections.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and distributors to manage product distribution, establishing distribution networks and developing distribution strategies
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and personality requirements:-
  • A University degree in Sales, Marketing or a business related field. Relevant post graduate qualification is an added advantage
  • 5 years practical experience in FMCG in a busy sales function at a senior management level
  • Commercial/business acumen and communication skills
  • A clean valid driving licence
  • Knowledge in financial management is an added advantage
