We are a technology startup looking to contract a QuickBooks accountant for a 2 week period.


We are looking to hire a bookkeeper/accountant to maintain the financial aspect of our organization, efficiently and effectively in accordance to the standards and procedures set.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in any accounting/ finance/ business related field.
  • CPA (K) or other equivalent professional qualification in accounting.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Google Email and Experience in QuickBooks a must.
  • Detailed illustration of previous jobs or contracts done using QuickBooks.
  • Strong planning, organizational and analytical skills
  • Process thinker, excellent communicator, excellent interpersonal skills, high degree of integrity and professionalism.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and highly innovative environment.
  • Ability to work in a team.

Key responsibilities
  • Accurate and timely setup of Company Chart of Accounts for 2012 in to QuickBooks.
  • Creation all customer, vendor, staff and other static data.
  • Migration of all account balances for 31st December 2012 to QuickBooks.
  • Creation of all invoices, bills, payments, receipts, statements etc for activities in January 2013.
  • Accurate and timely preparation and consolidation of financial reports for January 2013.
  • Accurate and timely preparation of reconciliation for cash, for both inter-office accounts and out of office (Banks and Cards)
  • Accurate update of payroll system and timely processing of monthly payroll and period-end statutory returns.
  • Review maintenance and management of all filling and recommend changes to filing system for the organization.
  • Post details of the daily transactions to the Quick Books.
  • Prepare & compute withholding taxes and other statutory deductions in accordance to the Law.
  • Prepare Monthly financial reports as requested by Shujaa at a rate to be agreed in advance and fixed monthly timelines.
