Our client a company based in industrial area and involved in
manufacturing of plastics is looking for a Factory
Engineer
Gross Salary: 50K - 70K
Job PurposeGross Salary: 50K - 70K
Perform electrical maintenance, servicing and repair of utility equipment, and all other equipments to ensure maximum availability and cost minimization of plant in line with safety requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Perform
trouble shooting and fault finding on all defective machinery to ensure
that a correct, quick and cost effective repair can be carried out.
- Repair
plant (utilities and machinery) correctly according to manufacturers’
recommendations to ensure plant operations can resume as soon as possible.
- Perform
and carry out preventive maintenance of plant according to schedule in
order to enhance cost and operational performance.
- Monitor
and ensure proper servicing of utility equipment, as per the
manufacturer recommendations, to ensure cost , operational
performance and safety standards are achieved,
- Maintain
records of all repairs, services, calibrations and machine histories to
ensure accurate and up to date records are available in terms of audit
requirements.
Qualifications
- Diploma
in Electrical /Electronics Engineer
Experience
- 3-5
years as an electronics engineer preferably in plastic processing
industries or similar industry
Skills Required
- Knowledge
of wiring installation circuit breakers, electrical outlets and
transformers.
- Knowledge
of Electrical System Testing- using electrical testing equipments such as
ohmmeters, ammeters, harmonic testers, voltmeters and others
- Knowledge
of Blueprint Reading-to identify locations of panel boards, load centers,
circuits, outlets and other components.
- Good
practical skills to work with hand and power tools
- Knowledge
of plc control & interlocks
- Ability
to follow technical drawings and instructions
- Methodical
approach to work and the ability to pay close attention to detail
- Logical
approach to identify and solve the problem
- Ability
to work unsupervised and as part of a team
- Good
communication skills
Goals of the position
- Constant
upgrading and maintaining technical skills in line with new
technology
- To
acquire skills and competencies to allow more repair work to be completed
in house.
- Unreliable
power supply
- Low
skills and retention of Operators and Technicians may lead to machine
damage and downtime.
