Kadet (Vision Fund Kenya) seeks to appoint a dynamic, innovative and experienced leader, committed togrowing the MFI in volume, efficiency, impact and profitability.


Chief Executive Officer
 
Purpose of the position:
  • To strategically lead, develop and direct the implementation of all aspects of Vision Fund, Kenya in line with Vision Fund International’s policies and procedures;
  • To give direction and leadership toward the achievement of Vision Fund MFI vision, mission, strategy, and its annual goals and objectives;
  • To represent Vision Fund Kenya to all donors, partners, other organizations, Local Governments and strive to build a positive image in all relevant media;
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction and support local resource mobilization and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
 
Reporting to the Board of Directors and the Regional Director, the CEO shall be responsible for:
 
Fund Sourcing
  • Develop, acquire and attract the necessary grant, credit line and other financial and non-financial resources necessary to meet the organization’s objectives;
Financial Management
  • To ensure effective and efficient financial management system of Kadet’s resources.
Risk management
  • Ensures that there is an effective prudent risk management system in place.
Public Relations
  • Ensures that VF, its mission, programs, products and services are consistently presented in strong, positive image to the Board, VFI and relevant stakeholders;
  • Develop networks and strategic alliances to positively influence the economic policies;
Innovation
  • Ensures that there is continuous development of new and innovative profitable products
Person Profile:
  • A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Management or some other related field with distinguished leadership, management track record level and impeccable record of integrity;
  • At least 10 years working experience, with three of them in senior leadership including some of the following: Microfinance Organization, Banking or Economic and Business Development Institution;
  • Analytical and passionate, transformative change leader who will take Vision Fund Kenya to the next level;
  • Good communication and marketing skills.
