The Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA) is an independent
Commission set up under Article 215 of the Constitution of Kenya.
Its core mandate is to recommend the basis for equitable sharing
of revenues raised nationally between the National and County Governments;
sharing of revenue among the County Governments and make recommendations on
other matters concerning the financing of, and financial management by county
governments.
Personal Assistant to the Chairman
The successful candidate will provide technical and operational
assistance to the Chairman.
The officer will be required to work closely with the chairman
and to manage the affairs of the chairman’s office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage
Chairman’s diary and appointments.
- Plan,
organize and coordinate meetings, both internal and external and keeping
up to date with events and activities concerning the Commission.
- Take
notes and minutes of meetings and forums attended by Chairman and brief as
required.
- Coordinate
travel and accommodation requirements for the Chairman and his guests in
conjunction with the in-house team.
- Maintain
accurate records of papers and electronic correspondence on behalf of the
Chairman.
- Prepare
presentations ad briefing papers as required.
- Prepare
media briefs for the Chairman in consultation with the Director
Communications.
- Establish
and maintain good relations with stake holders and deal effectively with
their matters.
- Any
other duty as assigned by the Chairman
Required Education, Skills and Experience:
- A
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Law or
related field.
- A
Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Law or
related field will be a distinct advantage.
- A
minimum of five (5) years of relevant progressive working experience
- Able
to use computer programs / applications (MS. Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
Access)
In addition, the successful candidate must;
- Demonstrate
attention to details, self- management and is able to work under pressure
- Promote
knowledge management and learning
- Ability
to exercise discretion in dealing with confidential and sensitive matters.

3. Terms and Conditions of Service
The successful candidate for the above position will be offered
a competitive remuneration package and will be appointed on three year contract
term renewable on satisfactory performance.
