Brand Manager Job in Kenya

Honey Care Africa, a high-growth social enterprise based in Nairobi with domestic and international sales, is recruiting a creative Brand Manager

The Brand Manager will develop and grow the organization’s consumer product brand portfolio. Competitive compensation and benefits package. 

This position reports to the Head of Sales & Marketing.

  • Represent brand identity and creative vision for product development
  • Create and implement product plan to support both historical data and current product trend while clearly representing brands
  • Analyze and synthesize information, identify implications, observe patterns and draw conclusions based on facts and generate effective solutions
  • Research marketplace for inspiration and competitive responses
  • Establish short term and long term product trend for each brand to effectively interpret the voice of consumer, retailer and market
  • Identify opportunities by channel and brand
  • Communicate product plan clearly to development team
  • Establish competitive retail pricing strategy and maintains margin goals
  • Design packages, promotions and sales tools
  • Ensure timely new product introductions
  • Manage product assortment and life cycle by analyzing sales information and providing recommendations for SKU reduction and discontinuation of slow sellers
  • Partner with Sales to develop professional presentations that meet the needs and objectives of individual channels and accounts
  • Work within established budget guidelines
  • Focus on results.
  • At least 5 years successful brand management or product management experience.
  • At least 3 years successful FMCG market experience.
  • Professional written & verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; strong design skills.
  • Ability to plan and manage at both strategic and operational levels.
  • Willing to work long hours and travel extensively.
  • An advanced degree in communications, marketing, or business is preferred.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills, integrity, work ethic, and dependability.
