Previously known as Embu Agricultural Staff Training (EAST)
College, The Embu University College (EUC) was established as a Constituent
College of the University of Nairobi through Legal Notice No. 65 of 17 June,
2011.
The College seeks to develop into a centre of excellence for
learning and research in agriculture and farming systems within and outside
Kenya.
The University College now wishes to fill the following positions with qualified and experienced staff ready to spearhead the new College towards the attainment of the above objectives.
Registrar
Applicants should have a PhD or a Masters Degree from a recognized University.
In addition, applicants should have more than fifteen (15) years of directly related experience in administration or management experience preferably in a university at a senior management level.
The candidate should have demonstrated abilities in effective
leadership, team management, advanced problem-solving, interpersonal and
communications skills and demonstrated ability on public relations;
demonstrated dedication to accuracy and detail; orientated towards University
advancement, success and external affairs strategy; ability to effectively
coordinate various internal and external departments/players for quality
service delivery.
He/she should be conversant with modern management techniques
including relevant aspects of Information Technology.
Senior Assistant Registrar
Applicants should be holders of Masters Degree in relevant field and 12 years experience in university administrative duties.
They must have good leadership and managerial skills, ability to
multi-task, counsel and mentor staff, as well as maintain a healthy working
relationship with staff.
Applicants with relevant Undergraduate degree and postgraduate
certifications/trainings plus extensive years of experience in university
planning, administration, management and quality assurance may also be
considered.
Competence in IT is a must.
Assistant Registrar
Applicants should be holders of Masters Degree in relevant field and eight (8) years experience in university administrative duties.
They must have good leadership and managerial skills, ability to
multi-task, counsel and mentor staff, as well as maintain a healthy working
relationship with staff.
Applicants with relevant undergraduate degree and postgraduate
certifications/trainings plus extensive years of experience in university
planning, administration, management and quality assurance may also be
considered.
Competence in IT is a must.
Assistant Registrar (Performance Contracting & ISO)
Applicants must be holders of Masters Degree.
In addition they must have at least eight (8) years
administrative experience in various administrative aspects, preferably in a
university setting, five (3) of which should be in dealing with performance
contracting activities, measurement and monitoring and strategic
planning.
Applicants should be computer literate, have skills and hands-on
experience in use and application of computer based platforms for management of
performance contract and ISO 9001: 2008 QMS.
They must be team-players, self driven, highly focused and be
committed to highest performance standards.
Senior Administrative Assistant
Applicants should be holders of a Bachelors degree from a recognized University in relevant field and 6 years in university administrative duties.
Postgraduate certifications/trainings and competence in IT, plus
extensive years of experience in university planning, administration, quality
management and assurance will be an added advantage.
