We have established a Christian Kindergarten School in Meru to serve children from ages 2-5years therefore seek to recruit suitable, qualified and experienced candidates to fill the position of Kindergarten Teacher.

Job Profile
 
The basic responsibility is to perform professional teaching duties and impact knowledge, skills, develop personality and character that will provide a lasting and inspiring impact on children based on Christian principles.
·                     Work in liaison with the Team Leader Kindergarten to ensure effective support to the children.
·                     Teach and impart children based on the Montessori system rooted on Christian values.
·                     Promote children spiritual, physical, mental, and social development.
·                     Supervise activities such as field visit, group discussions, and dramatic play acting to stimulate children’s interest and broaden understanding of their physical and social environment.
·                     Encourage children in singing, dancing, rhythmic activities and in use of art materials, to promote self-expression and appreciation of aesthetic experience.
·                     Foster cooperative social behavior through games and group projects to assist children in forming satisfying relationships with other children and adults.
·                     Discuss children challenges and progress with parents.
·                     Support the school authorities to build a parent and board relationship.
Personal Profile
 
The following knowledge, skills and abilities may be acquired through combination of formal training, schooling, self-education, prior experience or on the job the job training:
·                     Must be a mature born again Christian, actively involved in the activities of a local church.
·                     Must be a trained teacher and holds at least a Certificate & diploma in ECD training.  A certificate or diploma in MONTESSORI training will be an added advantage.
·                     Must have three years experience of working with young children as a teacher.
·                     Possess excellent organization and time management skills, ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
·                     Good interpersonal and communication skills.
·                     Computer literate.
·                     Adaptability and flexibility and able to work with minimum supervision and long extra hours including weekends and holidays when necessary or requested by supervisor or the governing board.

Job Profile
·                     Provide administrative and secretarial support as may be required.
·                     Receive incoming calls, ensuring that calls are answered after no more than 5 rings.
·                     Receive telephone calls ensuring that messages are passed on to the correct staff member
·                     Make outgoing telephone calls when required ensuring that all calls are properly logged in and charged to the respective department or individual following proper authorization.
·                     Receive and attend to visitors.
·                     Receive documents which may be delivered to the office, ensuring that these are distributed to the respective addressee.
·                     Receive messages for staff members and transmit them to relevant staff member.

·                     A diploma or relevant certificate in Administrative and secretarial studies from a recognized institution.

·                     Must have computer aptitude and experience with word processing, database management, Desktop Publishing and spreadsheet software.

Job Profile
·                     Assist the doctors in their examinations and treatments.
·                     Regularly and promptly consult with doctors
·                     Conduct routine immunizations, investigations, and weight assessments to children.
·                     Monitor health status, growth and development of children with routine evaluations.
·                     Administer prescribed treatments to children, including daily vitamin intake.
·                     Create and maintain medical records and documentation.
·                     Ensure the enforcement of the infection control policy.
·                     Participate in rendering diagnostic service to patients and give prescriptions
·                     Education and sensitization on Health Education.
·                     Participate in the coordination of training programs in the communities
·                     Preparing, Compiling and presenting of weekly, monthly and annual project reports
·                     Facilitate procurement and distribution of donations to the beneficiaries
·                     Maintain up-to-date (accurate) record in the clinic
·                     Support in the preparation and execution of departmental and organization budgets, strategic plans and work plans.

·                     Must have excellent English language skills, both verbal and written. 
·                     Preferred experience in infection control and the dietary/nutrition needs of immunodeficient/immune suppressed patients. 
·                     Must be able to communicate and operate well with other medical professionals.  Experience with HIV management is beneficial. 
·                     Desired personal attributes include, but are not limited to: honest, ability to uphold confidentiality, self-motivated, neat and clean personally and in work space, hard-working.

2. Inventory Management Practices For Drugs
 
a. Ordering
·                     Conducting physical stock count
·                     Determine what to order and how much to order.
·                     Use correct requisition form and send in time to appropriate supplier.
b. Receiving
·                     Receive drugs, verify supply, inspect drugs, sign delivery documents and enter goods in bin cards.
c. Storage
·                     Adhere to good storage guidelines.
·                     Maintain updated bin cards and track expiry dates.
·                     Secure storage areas and monitor temperatures.
·                     Conduct regular stock counts.
Personal Profile
