1. Chief Financial Officer
 
Job Summary:
 
The Chief Financial Officer is responsible for overseeing all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities for the Bank. 

The position holder manages and directs the strategic direction of Accounting and Finance functions creates and enforces accounting and finance policies, procedures, and internal controls and improves the quality and efficiency of all financial reporting, ensuring that it is strategic, pertinent, and succinct and covers all the key aspects of the organisation.

Job Specifications:
  • A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Banking, Finance or Economics coupled with a professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CFA or CIMA;
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience with a strong career track record, heading up and leading the finance function of a Bank at a strategic level, and responsible for the day to day activities;
  • A strong career track record, heading up a Finance function in a bank with multidimensional and cross-border businesses for a minimum period of 3-5 years, within the banking sector;
  • Financial and commercial astuteness at a strategic level coupled with seasoned business judgement.
2. Treasurer
 
Job Summary:
 
The Treasurer is responsible for overseeing the corporate treasury function of the Bank including syndication, balance sheet management and managing the Bank’s market and liquidity risks. 

The incumbent is expected to lead and enhance the Bank’s asset liability management, cash flow management and banking relationships as
well as formulating policies and procedures in treasury operations, syndication and financial risk management.

Job Specifications:
  • A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Banking, Finance or Economics; A relevant professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CFA or CIMA will have an added advantage;
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in financial management at a senior level in treasury management and syndication in Banking, Finance or Development Finance environment;
  • A thorough understanding of market risk dynamics, treasury, syndication and capital markets; and the ability to provide strategic direction on cash flow, borrowing and investment management.
3. Principal Finance Officer (Accounting & Budgeting)
 
Job Summary:
 
The Principal Finance Officer (Accounting & Budgeting) is responsible for managing the Bank’s accounting and budgeting functions and for the overall effectiveness of financial internal controls. 

The incumbent is responsible for developing and preparing the capital, income and expenditure budgets; formulation of accounting and financial management policies; ensuring the timely preparation and submission of financial statements, management and board reports; providing inputs into the Bank’s corporate plan and financial management strategy and ensuring that the accounting and budgeting functions are carried out in accordance with best practice standards and in conformity with internal policies and procedures.

Job Specifications:
  • A Master’s degree in finance or accounting and a professional qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CFA or CIMA;
  • Strong financial management skills with a minimum of 8-10 years of relevant supervisory level professional experience preferably in the financial sector;
  • Excellent knowledge and familiarity with financial instruments and the application of various international financial reporting standards;
  • Strong analytical, financial modelling and report writing skills as well as the ability to work in a multi-cultural environment;
  • Highly proficient in the use of enterprise resource planning systems particularly SAP.
4. Finance Officer
 
Job Summary:
 
The Finance Officer is responsible for carrying out accounting and financial functions in accordance with established principles and practices and producing periodic financial reports. 

The position holder is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely recording and billing of loans and other accounting transactions; supporting the timely preparation of monthly financial statements, and other periodic management reports; processing payments and disbursements and ensuring timely reconciliations of assigned nominal ledger and bank accounts.

Job Specifications:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in finance or accounting coupled with a certified public accountancy or chartered accountancy qualification. A Master’s degree in related discipline will have additional advantage;
  • Strong financial management skills with a minimum of 5 years post qualification professional experience preferably in the financial sector;
  • Strong analytical, financial modelling and report writing skills as well as the ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision;
  • Highly proficient in the use of enterprise resource planning systems particularly SAP.
5. Senior Portfolio Management Officer
 
Job Summary:
 
The Senior Portfolio Management Officer is responsible for supervising and ensuring that all loan disbursements comply with the loan approval terms, monitoring the implementation of approved projects and infrastructure loans and trade finance transactions and supervising the performance of credit facilities. 

The position holder is responsible for profiling portfolio risks and initiating risk mitigants, conducting post-evaluation studies on projects and trade loans and initiating corrective actions, carrying out periodic project audit and supervising loan administration, collection and arrears recovery through the portfolio managers and Workout Unit.

Job Specifications:
  • A Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Commerce, Economics, Finance. A chartered financial qualification will have added advantage;
  • A minimum of 8-10 years supervisory/managerial level experience in progressively responsible project/trade finance positions in a Commercial/Development Banking or Financial institution environment;
  • Ability to coordinate and handle large syndications and infrastructure deals involving a number of co-lenders;
  • Proven track record of strong project management skills, negotiation skills, including a thorough understanding of the technical, financial and transaction analysis and risks analysis techniques;
  • Highly proficient in enterprise resource planning systems such as SAP and spread sheets.
6. Portfolio Management Officer
 
Job Summary:
 
The Portfolio Management Officer is responsible for handling loan disbursements, letters of credit operations; monitoring project implementation; managing project and trade finance transactions, including designing turnaround schemes, restructuring, and management of receivership accounts.

Job Specifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Engineering, Banking, Business Administration, Finance or equivalent. A Master’s degree and/or a chartered financial qualification will have added advantage;
  • A minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in progressively responsible project/trade finance positions in a Commercial/Development Banking or Financial institution environment;
  • Strong analytical, planning, negotiation, report writing and interpersonal skills and the ability to exercise due diligence and utmost care in ensuring accuracy of information used in decision making;
  • Highly proficient in enterprise resource planning systems such as SAP and spread sheets.
