Quality Assurance Lab Assistant Job in Kenya


Our client is looking to fill the position of a Quality Assurance Lab Assistant who will ensure that all processes contributing to the performance of the production processes are conducted in accordance with the set guidelines and regulations. 

She will responsible for all activities involving quality assurance, and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. 

The focus of the position is to develop, perform and manage all quality assurance related activities.

Description:
  1. Perform physical consistency test i.e. dimensions, wall thickness, section weights, top load, torques etc) on products i.e. PET plastic bottles ,preforms, jars and closures
  2. Assist in  Maintaining statistical process control SPC spreadsheets monitoring critical process control parameters.(Machine and utility humidity,Temps,chiller drier temperatures amongst other quality parameters)
  3. Laboratory house keeping
  4. Enforce ISO systems and good manufacturing practices on area of work  in the production floor.
Requirements:
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills 
  • Excellent communication skills, oral & written 
  • A customer focus on delivering high quality products 
  • Must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced testing environment with aggressive deadlines and the skill to multi-task projects concurrently. 
  • Hands on Competency with standard PC software such as Microsoft Office especially Spreadsheets excel.
  • Must possess a Bsc. in Industrial Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry / Production Engineering / Chemistry or Biochemistry or related
  • Must possess at least one year of work experience in the related field. Experience in the manufacturing industry will be an added advantage.
  • Mathematical Skills - Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, Statistical Process Control   (SPC), Six-Sigma, correlation techniques, and sampling theory.
  • Computer Skills - To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic ERP system knowledge and be well versed in computer office applications such as Spreadsheets, Databases, and Word Processing software.
  • Preferably ladies of ages between 25 years and above should apply.
