NMG wishes to recruit a highly motivated and professional
individual to fill the position of Human Resources Manager for its Kenya
operations.
Reporting to Group HR Director and working closely with
Divisional heads, the jobholder will be responsible for the design, development
and implementation of HR strategies that will deliver employee engagement,
retention, efficiency and productivity in Kenya, in alignment to the Groups HR
strategy.
S/He will also be responsible for:
- Talent
sourcing, development and retention including carrying out annual talent
reviews and implementing agreed outcome;
- Enhancing
the right culture and creating ownership of the Group’s values, vision and
mission and driving change in line with business goals;
- Evaluating
performance management processes to enhance employee productivity;
- Managing
all issues around employee relations promptly including negotiating
Collective Bargaining Agreements of recognised unions in the best interest
of all parties;
- Ensuring
the Group’s compensation policy is applied fairly and reviewed regularly
to meet the needs of all parties;
- Meet
the Group’s business needs including identifying and retaining key talent
to inform succession and business expansion plans, organization
effectiveness, staff engagement and productivity;
- Prepare
quarterly HR data and performance measurement reports to the management.
Being a senior position, the jobholder will need to have a close
working relationship with various stakeholders including Managing Directors and
General Managers responsible for various divisions, Heads of Shared Services
functions and external stakeholders including HR consultants and service
providers.
The successful candidate will be required to have a university
degree in humanities and a post graduate diploma in human resource
management.
S/he will need to have a minimum of ten years’ human resource
experience, of which three years should be as a Senior HR Manager or a Senior
HR Business Partner responsible for a fully- fledged HR department in a
commercial environment.
The ideal candidate will need to have experience in HRIS, talent
management, HR analytics and driving performance.
S/he will be required to have a good understanding of global HR
trends and how these affect employee contribution and motivation.
S/he will also be a good communicator, excellent ability to
influence, an exemplary leader with good inter personal skills.
