The Coffee Board of Kenya (CBK) is a State Corporation established under the Coffee Act No. 9 of 2001.
The Board wishes to fill the following vacant position with a dynamic, results-oriented and self driven individual
Personal Secretary I

a.) Duties and Responsibilities
The officer will be deployed in the Managing Directors’ office and will report to the Executive Secretary. The officer will be responsible for:
- Attending
to visitors/clients, handling telephone calls, emails and appointments
- Assisting
in effective management of office protocol, Public Relations and media
issues
- Ensuhng
secunty & Confidentiality of office records and documents
- Maintaining
Confidential Records and filing
- Operating
and managing office equipment in their custody
- Drafting
letters and typing from drafts
- Undertaking
any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
b.) Requirements
for Appointment
For appointment to this position, the applicant must:
- Have a
Bachelors Degree in Secretarial Studies, Business and Office Management or
equivalent qualification from a recognized institution and/or a Higher
National Diploma in Secretarial Studies
- Have
served in the grade of Personal Secretary or any other relevant &
comparable position for a minimum period of three (3) years
- Have
the following qualifications from Kenya National Examination Council: -
Shorthand III (100-120wpm), Typewriting III (59wpm)/Computerized document
processing III, Office Management III, Business English III/Communications
II, Secretarial duties II and Commerce II
- Have
demonstrated professional competence in management of secretarial services
and shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
- Have
attended a Management Skills course
- Be
fluent in English and Kiswahili
- Have a
Certificate in computer Applications
- Have
good temperament
- Be a
team player
