Terms of Reference for an Intern

The main task will be to provide programmatic support to the Programmes team and will be reporting to the Senior Programme Officer.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Participate in the development of advocacy campaigns; implementation and monitoring of outcomes.
  • Assist in implementation of all phases of advocacy events from conception to follow-up and conclusion.
  • Assist in background research and support functions including (but not limited) to collecting information and database management.
  • Assist and support in dissemination of AfriCOG reports and communications.
  • Assist and support the management team in planning and coordination of resource mobilisation activities including supporting the preparation and submission of project proposals to existent and potential donors.
  • Perform other tasks as may be directed from time to time.
Requirements:
  • University degree in social sciences, law, applied research and any other relevant degree
  • Impeccable writing skills
  • Committed to AfriCOG mission of eradicating impunity
  • Passionate on Governance and anti-corruption issues and ensuring civic vigilance
  • A quick learner and highly motivated
  • Ability to undertake tasks with attention to detail
The Intern will be expected to adhere to AfriCOG’s Working hours from 8.30 – 17.00 hours.  It may be necessary to work outside these hours from time to time.
