following functions:
- Provision

Supervisor, Customs & Logistics

Reporting to the General Manager - Manufacturing, Purchasing
& Supply Chain, the successful candidate will be responsible for the
overall supervision of the Customs (in-bound clearance, warehousing,
ex-warehousing and exports) and Logistics functions to ensure the following:
- Timely
clearance of all imports
- Effective
Management of the bonded warehouse, export customs and logistics
operations to East Africa Community and other Sub-Saharan Africa Markets
- Compliance
with customs regulations (Kenya and other import/export countries) and GM
customs policies
- Liaison
and follow up with shipping lines for speedy delivery of imported
materials
- Allocation/Distribution
of customs clearing documents to clearing agents and Coordination of
clearing process and goods delivery from port(s) of discharge to GMEA
- Maintenance
of Customs Records
- Proper
warehousing of goods in the bonded warehousing
- Effective
execution of ex-warehousing customs entries
- Application
for bonds as required and prompt cancellation/retirement as necessary
- Manage
movement of vehicles/parts invoiced to export market up to the final
destination (import country)
