Position: Finance Manager 
 
Location: Nairobi

The Finance Manager is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the financial affairs of WSTF. 


The position aims to ensure fiscal discipline and provide financial stewardship to the Fund in the line with WSTF’s Strategic Plan.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
 
Specific Duties at this level will include but not limited to;
  • Oversee the finance function and ensure development of sound financial management systems
  • Advise on reviewing donor contracts, cash flow and other financial projections in line with donor requirements
  • Participate in financial negotiations with Development Partners
  • Ensure timely preparation of the annual financial statements, donor management reports, monitor and reconcile same
  • Provide leadership in the formulation, implementation, analysis and reporting of financial management policies and strategies
  • Oversee budget preparation and monitoring to enhance continuous improvement
  • Ensure that decisions of the Board and Management relating to finance are implemented
  • Mobilize and monitor the use of physical resources and other assets of the Authority
  • Supervise the preparation of the Funds payroll and statutory deductions
  • Ensure project financial monitoring and reporting
  • Coordination internal and external audits
  • Ensure timely disbursement and accounting of funds
  • Supervise, appraise and develop staff in finance department
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or business related field such as, Commerce, finance, Accounting, management or economics from a recognized institution.
  • CPA-K or ACCA
  • At least eight (8) years relevant experience in a reputable organization five (5) of which must be at a senior management level
  • Member of a professional body (ICPAK)
  • A relevant Masters Degree is an added advantage
