Head of Business Banking (SME)
This role is accountable for leading the Business Banking team
to launch the new and exciting Barclays SME proposition, deliver the ambitious
growth strategy through acquisition of new clients and maintaining with a view
to deepening relationships, with existing customers.
The individual will be required to demonstrate an intimate
knowledge of the market and the competitor landscape and use this to shape an
aggressive Business Banking strategy implementation.
Also, the individual will be expected to take initiative in
terms of business development activities ensuring that quality business is
retained, high service standards delivered, resulting in sustainable income
from the whole team portfolio.
The individual will also be expected to internally embed the new
business banking proposition including the development of people capabilities,
inculcating the appropriate behaviors and culture that will support the
business objectives of this segment.
In addition the individual will be required to personally relationship
manage and sustain a portfolio of key Business Banking customers developing
long term relationships founded on efficient and reliable support for their
business.
The role holder will be required to demonstrate the ability to
make quick business decisions that balance risk, profitability and most
importantly responsiveness to customer needs.
More over the individual will be expected to demonstrate and continuously develop sound knowledge of the SME sector regulatory framework.
The role reports directly to the Country Retail Director.
