Account Executive
Job Summary:
Use your sales and relationship skills to sell enterprise
systems and custom‐build geospatial solutions to existing and prospective customers
in any of our five super‐industries; Education & Health, Government, Mapping, Defense
& Public Safety, Natural Resources and Transportation & Utilities, through pro‐active customer engagement at
multiple levels in the organization under the supervision of the Industry
Manager.

- Manage
assigned client accounts by developing account plans and successfully
executing account strategies to effectively close business within the
assigned accounts.
- Work
closely with internal solution developers to understand client
requirements, formulate appropriate enterprise and custom‐build GIS solutions to ensure customer
success.
- Continually
prospect in assigned accounts to identify and close new sales
opportunities in support of existing or new business processes and
workflows.
- Consistently
use the Esri Eastern Africa sales process and salesforce.com
implementation to manage assigned sales opportunities and achieve sales
goals.
- Engage
with key decision‐makers in client organization to build a
comprehensive and long‐term vision for the use of geospatial
technology.
- Foster
relationships between assigned customers and help to build a strong user
community through technical sessions, industry seminars and user events.
- Provide
continued after‐sales support to maintain the customer
relationship and to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Maintain
excellent product knowledge and keep abreast with the latest geospatial
technologies and solutions through online resources, training and
conferences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s
or Master’s Degree in Geomatics, Geography, Computer Science, or a related
discipline from a reputed university.
- Minimum
of 3 years of successful account management experience in selling GIS or
ICT solutions.
- Excellent
communication and presentation skills with an ability to work in
interdisciplinary teams.
- Good
business sense with strong persuasion and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency
in the use of Internet, e‐mail, office productivity and business
intelligence software.
- Exposure
to ArcGIS and other geospatial technologies will offer a distinct
advantage.
