Regional Program Quality and Accountability Coordinator
                        
Action Against Hunger-USA is part of the Action Against Hunger (ACF) international network which provides humanitarian relief in 44 countries worldwide in the sectors of nutrition, health, water/sanitation, and food security. 

ACF-USA is recruiting a Regional Program Quality and Accountability Coordinator who will be based in Nairobi and willtake a lead on the development of PQA initiatives and establish a formalized structure for PQA across Kenya, Republic of South Sudan, Uganda, Democratic Republic of Congo and Nigeria.

For this exciting new position, ACF is looking for a highly motivated, creative and team orientated individual who has a minimum of five years of experience in:
  • The establishment of a PQA setup at regional level
  • The delivery of PQA related training
  • Ensuring the introduction and proper utilization of PQA systems in the country programs.
  • Capturing and documenting lessons learned, success stories and best practices from planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of activities
  • Promotion and support ownership of PQA by technical departments in the country programs.
  • Representation of ACF in relevant forums and working groups
  • Monitoring and planning ofPQA budgets
Requirements
  • Strong conceptual skills and the ability to think of Monitoring and Evaluation not just at the project level but at the strategic and institutional level.
  • Proven ability to translate evaluated results into learning strategies.
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative data skills (SPSS, Sphinx, Excel)
  • Familiarity with Management Information Systems (Databases) and GIS.
  • Excellent writing and reporting skills.
  • Experience in multi-sectoral and participatory appraisals and data collection tools.
  • Honesty, reliability, timely, autonomy and sense of responsibility.
  • Must be able to train others (to listen, to advise, to support, to motivate).
  • Must be able to take decisions and choose priorities independently.
  • Must be able to arrive at results consistently and independently.
  • Previous experience in humanitarian PQA is a must.
Desirable
  • French language skills
Education and Expertise
  • Master degree in statistics, demographics, public health, development or other social sciences.
  • At least 5 years of proven experience in the Monitoring, Evaluation and Accountability of humanitarian programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of international humanitarian context and standards.
