A leading plastic containers and jerry can manufacturing limited company in Nairobi is seeking to recruit results oriented and proactive team players to fill the positions of Quality Assurance Officer and Electrical 

Technician. Position: Quality Assurance Officer

1 Position

Location: Nairobi 

Reporting to: Plant Manager 

Essential Requirements:  
  • Bachelor of science Degree/Diploma or its equivalent 4 to3 yrs 
  • Relevant experience in quality assurance management in a Plastics manufacturing field. 
  • Relevant training on quality management, monitoring and auditing. 
Desired Qualities: 
  • Effective oral and written communication skills 
  • Exposure to various quality management systems, Kaizen, TPM. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to be meticulous and accurate, with a willingness to follow all actions through to conclusion. 
  • Attention to detail and systematic approach to their work. 
  • Able to work long hours. 
  • Proven leadership skills, assertiveness, and ability to take initiative.
  • Proficiency of ISO quality standards. 
Position Descriptive: The incumbent shall coordinate quality management activities to champion a quality culture in all operations within the production floor to enhance credible and reliable production. 

Main Duties and responsibilities: 
  • Coordinating regulatory quality affairs within the production floor. 
  • Provide training on the quality system and regulations. 
  • Establishing quality systems and structures on all products. 
  • Assessment of products, documentation and reporting in line with set standards. 
  • Establish and maintain production quality standards are achieved and maintained. 
  • Training staff on how to recognize quality standards during the process of manufacturing. 
  • Other duties as deemed relevant by the plant manager. 
Terms of Employment: 1 Year renewable Contract, Probation period for the first 3 months. 

Salary negotiable depending on education, experience and demonstrated competency.

Essential Requirements: 
  • Bachelor of Science degree/diploma in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or its equivalent. 
  • At least 1 to 2yrs relevant experience in Electrical and Electronic Engineering field. 
Desired Qualities: 
  • Effective oral and written communication skills. 
  • Team player with the ability to work in a fast paced environment. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. 
  • Attention to detail and systematic approach to their work. 
  • Able to work long hours. 
  • Proven leadership skills, assertiveness, and ability to take initiative. 
Position Descriptive: The incumbent will be expected to deliver on operational and technical requirements in accordance with our standards.
 
Main Duties and responsibilities: 
  • Preparation of routine maintenance plan. 
  • Implementation of planned and preventive maintenance tasks. 
  • Trouble shoot and resolving of electrical machine problems and breakdowns expeditiously. 
  • Maintain ancillary equipment like air compressors, chillers, cooling towers, grinders etc. 
  • Preparing monthly maintenance reports. 
  • Preparing annual spare procurement costing. 
  • Maintain all electrical systems and equipment. 
  • Implement safe working practices. 
  • Other duties as deemed relevant by the maintenance manager.
