Project Coordinator Job in Kenya


Impact Research and Development Organization is a registered Kenyan Non-Governmental Organization with a main office in Kisumu and regional offices in Bondo, Rarieda, Nyando, Rongo, Migori, Nyatike, Ndhiwa, Homa Bay, and Pokot North. Offices in other parts of the country will open up from November and December 2012. 

Its principal mandate is to design, implement and evaluate HIV/AIDS research and intervention programs that improve the health status of individuals and local communities. 

We are looking for qualified and experienced personnel to fill the following position.

Project Coordinator
 - Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision Roll Out Program

Job Summary:  

To coordinate the implementation of Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC) activities in selected districts of Nyanza, Western, Rift Valley, and Nairobi Provinces.

Minimum Requirements:
  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery (MB.ChB), Clinical Medicine and Surgery, Nursing, Environmental Health or Higher National Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery or Nursing. Masters degree in Public Health or Project Management added advantage.
  • Registered with the relevant professional body in Kenya.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience coordinating large HIV/AIDS prevention programs; experience in the roll-out of VMMC added advantage.
  • Training and practical experience in providing VMMC services added advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proof of professional writing required.
  • Documented proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
