Our client, Concern Worldwide, is looking to recruit a Data
Analyst and an Information Systems Project Officer for their “Food, Income, and
Markets” Programme which established an operations research project in 2010 to
define and test indicators of humanitarian crisis in urban informal
settlements.
The first two years of the project has collected extensive
evidence for the performance of various indicators and resulted in an indicator
framework which the project is now seeking to operationalise and scale-up in
major urban centers.
Data Analyst (Ref 2261)
The primary responsibility of the Data Analyst will be twofold 1) to support partner organizations to analyse and interpret the data from their project area and thus build partner capacity in this area and 2) to collate and holistically analyse each round of data collection across all sites.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide
training on basic data management, analysis and storage to partners.
- Collate
data collected by multiple partners across different sites in Kenya into
centralized database.
- Analyse
data collected by IDSUE project, produce preliminary and in depth reports
on results.
You will have a Masters Degree or PhD in Statistics, Mathematics
or Economics coupled with relevant experience including management and analysis
of large scale datasets and training

Information Systems Project Officer (Ref 2262)
The Project Officer will also have primary logistical responsibility for partner recruitment and organizing trainings with partners and will be supported by the Project Coordinator to deliver training to partners on use of the tool.
The Information Systems Project Officer will be responsible for
generating updates/factsheets and other communications on each round of data
collection for dissemination through various media and forums
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- The
Information Systems Project Officer will work closely with urban
stakeholders to identify a clear “who what where” for urban actors
throughout the country as part of identifying potential new partners
including mapping and dissemination throughout all appropriate forum and
regular updating of this mapping.
- Support
the Project Coordinator to implement and monitor partnership agreements
with new and existing partners for testing the indicators tool.
- Ensure
strong links to the community in all test sites and that regular community
disseminations take place.
You will have a Bachelors Degree in community development,
social work, nutrition or similar with at least 3 years experience working with
communities on health, development and food security.
