Regional Sales Manager

 (Gross Salary  200k-250k)

Our client is a  London based company  that has been in operation since 1977 and deals with packaging raw materials i.e. coated steel, aluminum , plastics and paper and is looking for a Sales Manager to handle the Nairobi Region.

Roles  and Responsibilities
  • Provide regular analysis of market potential for imports of various products listed above for enamellings into the market place. Thereafter to conduct desk and field research to identify sales potential in the region.
  • Target stable medium to large-scale fabricators / service centre / end users and, negotiate with customers to ensure that sales are made at optimum price levels with acceptable profit margins and with commercial conditions that minimize risk and maximize market presence.
  • Provide monthly progress reports detailing business development prospects, current enquiries and all other relevant data to assist London office to conduct risk analysis assessments where necessary.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships and engender goodwill, for business growth.
  • To achieve the mutually agreed sales targets.
  • From time to time, conduct appraisals on other possible markets such as West Africa, where a potential product roll out is envisaged to similarly strong and financially stable customers.
  • Take an active role in dispute resolution and mitigation of any claims which may from time-to-time arise.
Key Competencies
  • The successful candidate should be a self starter who is flexible and creative individual willing to work on its own merits and eager to learn.
  • He should have min 2 years of experience in dealing with customers in the Africa (or any other country) and should be associated with Sales
  • Preferably he should have some knowledge of UCP 2010 or 2000, shipping, export documentation.
  • He should be computer literate and must have good knowledge of Microsoft office.
  • As the company does not have an office yet ,the individual should be willing to set up an office.
  • He should be able to travel frequently to visit customers and suppliers.
  • Full training will be provided by the company and initially travel arrangements will be arranged to visit customers in the various countries.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Sales / Marketing / Business Administration or Commerce or in the technical field.
