Group Governance & Training Advisor
 
Position Description
 
The job holder will be responsible for providing governance and group dynamics expertise and support SPADE’s (Smallholder Poultry Agribusiness Development Program) developmental activities.

Provide leadership and guidance on implementation of Governance and Training strategies and initiatives within the project. The Governance & Training Advisor will work closely with Gender specialist, Poultry Producers Business Groups (PPBGs), local stakeholders, and sub-contractors, and management. 

S/he will be responsible for timely and effective implementation of project activities and achievement of a portion of the project’s goals. .
 
Requirements
  • Degree qualifications in Organizational Development, Community Development, Sociology or Anthropology.
  • Minimum of three years field and technical experience in the development sector, governance and group dynamics , training in Kenya is required;
  • Experience working with gender issues, other business related training and farmer group programs is an added advantage;
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills a must;
  • Ability to develop well-written, cohesive analyses and reports;
  • Track record of building strong client and stakeholder relationships;
  • Ability to generate innovative solutions in work situations;
  • Western and or Nyanza Kenyan work experience with communities is an added advantage.
 Field Supervisor – Monitoring & Evaluations
 
Position Description
 
Reporting to the M&E Manager, assist in the management of the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) components of the Smallholder Poultry Agribusiness Development Program (SPADE) program. 

The Field Supervisor will work closely with the SPADE M&E Manager, Business Advisors, Senior Business Advisors and field enumerators. 

S/he will assist in facilitating evidence-based decision-making processes by project leadership, maintenance of SPADE M&E systems, and effective implementation of SPADE M&E activities.
 
Requirements
  • Qualifications in business, economics, statistics or development-related studies required;
  • At least 2 years of experience with M&E methods and approaches, including designing, planning, and implementing M&E systems, analyzing and reporting
  • Proven ability to work with various M&E methods and approaches
  • Good grasp of information analysis and report writing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills a must;
  • Ability to generate innovative solutions in work situations;
  • Proven ability and experience working with teams will be an added advantage;
  • Fluency in English and Kiswahili required;
  • Willingness to be based in Nairobi, and ability to travel to remote rural locations.
Field Monitoring & Evaluations Assistant
 
Duration: 6 months renewable contracts.
 
Remuneration: KES. 40,000 per month excluding field expenses.
 
Position Description:
 
Reporting to the Smallholder Poultry Agribusiness Development Program (SPADE) Field Supervisor - Monitoring & Evaluation, the incumbent will be responsible for collecting field data from program beneficiaries, ensuring the quality of that data and entering the data into project database, under the supervision of a Field Supervisor
 
Requirements:
  • Relevant Qualifications: Minimum Diploma holder.
  • At least 1 year experience in data collection and quality control
  • Excellent reporting skills
  • Proficiency in Ms Office-Excel. Working knowledge of SPPSS will an added advantage
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills a must;
  • Ability to generate innovative solutions in work situations;
  • Proven ability and experience working with teams will be an added advantage;
  • Fluency in English and Kiswahili required;
  • Willingness to travel to remote rural locations for extended periods.
